International Co-operation Directorate

The International Cooperation directorate facilitates and promotes economic development, trade, tourism and investment cooperation and partnerships with governments and international organizations. It coordinates the Millennium Development Goals (MDG), foreign aid, any international and regional integration initiatives and handles Economic Partnership Agreements (EPA).

It also participates in negotiations regarding bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation partnerships. Moreover, it carries out monitoring and evaluation exercises on all government plans and projects to make sure the achievement of their intended goals. The department is also the focal point agency for the governance and coordination of the non-governmental sector in Somalia.
